Suppression is the largest service category in this market and the least examined, because it is the one thing every agency can sell regardless of whether your content is removable.
It also has a property no other method has: it is the only reputation service you can buy that stops working when you stop paying. That single fact should govern how it is compared, and almost no comparison of it mentions this.
Fourteen providers are recorded here. The main reference page covers the whole market by method; this record covers suppression only, including the two questions that separate a real programme from a retainer with no end condition.
What is actually being built
Suppression works by occupying the results a searcher sees before they reach the one you dislike. That means publishing and ranking assets: a personal or company site, profile pages, press placements, interviews, controlled social properties.
Two commercial models follow from that, and they are not equivalent.
Owned assets. The provider builds properties you control and keep. When the contract ends the assets remain, still ranking, still yours. Cost is front-loaded and the benefit persists.
Rented visibility. The provider maintains rankings through ongoing promotion, syndication and placements that stop when the invoice stops. Cheaper monthly, and you own nothing at the end.
Most engagements are a blend, and almost none of them say which. Ask what you still hold after twelve months if you cancel. The answer separates the two models faster than any pricing discussion.

Three of the fourteen publish a figure. That is a higher proportion than the market overall and still means eleven require a sales call before you know anything about cost.
Entries
BrandYourself

Type: software with managed tiers. Founded 2010, New York, under HelloPrivacy LLC. Entry: free tier, DIY from around 29 a month, managed tiers quoted.
The only entry here you can operate yourself. Suppression through a tool rather than an agency means you build and hold the assets by definition, which resolves the ownership question above. It also means the work is yours to do.
Best for: Individuals building assets themselves, free tier evaluation, DIY practitioners.
Not ideal for: Buyers wanting it handled, active crises, anyone without time.
Last verified March 12, 2026.
Gadook
Type: agency. Founded 2011, Orlando. Entry: published monthly retainer plans, 30 day money back guarantee, no long-term contract.
Publishes pricing and offers a money back window, which two of the largest agencies here do not. Independent verification is the weak point at two Clutch reviews, and no leadership or team bios are published.
Best for: Buyers who want a published price and a short exit.
Not ideal for: Buyers requiring verifiable track record, enterprise scale.
Last verified July 2026.
Go Fish Digital
Type: agency, part of the Agital portfolio. Founded 2005, Raleigh. Entry: quote, indicative project range reported at 30,000 to 200,000 dollars.
Nearly twenty years of documented work in this area, predating the term as a category, and multiple 2025 US Search Awards. Post-acquisition integration is the open risk.
Best for: Large brands, complex search problems, buyers valuing awards and tenure.
Not ideal for: Small businesses, fixed budgets.
Last verified July 2026.
Igniyte
Type: agency. Founded 2009, York, United Kingdom. Entry: free consultation, quoted.
Suppression and crisis work for corporates, high net worth individuals and public figures, sixteen years in one discipline. No Clutch or G2 reviews exist, so verification rests on the firm’s own case studies. Operates outside US time zones.
Best for: International cases, corporates, public figures.
Not ideal for: Buyers needing third party verification, US time zone coverage.
Last verified March 11, 2026.
NetReputation
Type: agency. Founded 2014, Sarasota. Entry: free consultation, quoted.
Suppression alongside removal, monitoring and privacy work, which suits a first page where several problems overlap. Also owns the InternetReputation.com brand, so the two are not independent alternatives.
Best for: Mixed problems, individuals, small and local businesses.
Not ideal for: Fixed budget buyers, buyers wanting published pricing.
Last verified February 22, 2026.
NP Digital

Type: agency. Founded 2017, San Diego. Entry: quote, premium positioning. More than 1,000 employees across 28 countries.
A performance marketing firm first, with reputation work as a secondary line, founded by Neil Patel. The search expertise is directly relevant to suppression, which is fundamentally an SEO exercise. Explicitly does not remove content, so this is suppression only.
Best for: Brands wanting suppression executed as SEO at scale.
Not ideal for: Anyone needing removal, small budgets.
Last verified July 2026.
Reputation Database
Type: agency. Entry: free consultation, quoted. Founding year not published.
This record is published by Reputation Database, which appears in it on the same fields as every other row. We run suppression alongside removal and data broker work, and publish no pricing, which by the standard applied above puts us in the eleven rather than the three.
Best for: Mixed first page cleanup, several negative results at once.
Not ideal for: Buyers needing published pricing, formal vendor vetting.
Last verified July 28, 2026.
Reputation.ca
Type: agency. Founded around 2011, Toronto. Entry: monitoring from 200 a month, guaranteed removal from 2,999 CAD, reviews management from 299 a month.
Publishes itemized pricing, which is genuinely rare here and useful for budgeting. Holds a 4.9 rating.
One practice is worth recording plainly. Its review generation service routes feedback of three stars or below into a private channel while directing four and five star customers to post publicly. That gating pattern conflicts with Google’s policies and FTC guidance on review solicitation. It sits outside the suppression service itself, and it is a fair signal of how the firm reads the rules.
Best for: Canadian buyers, budget planning against published rates.
Not ideal for: Buyers who want no part of review gating.
Last verified July 2026.
Reputation X
Type: agency. Founded 2005, Mill Valley, California. Entry: most engagements reported from 3,000 dollars a month.
Twenty years operating, A plus BBB rating with accreditation since 2016, and an unusually specific service range: suppression, reputation SEO, Wikipedia editing, Knowledge Panel work and AI search. Those last three are asset creation rather than promotion, which places it toward the owned end of the model described above. Headquarters and founder details are inconsistent across sources.
Best for: Buyers needing Wikipedia or Knowledge Panel work alongside suppression.
Not ideal for: Budgets under 3,000 a month.
Last verified July 2026.
Reputn
Type: agency. Miami. Entry: quote. Founding year inconsistent across sources.
Removal, suppression, Wikipedia and Knowledge Panel work with a stated all in-house US team and no outsourcing. Founders are not named, and headline results are not independently verifiable.
Best for: Buyers wanting one vendor across removal and suppression.
Not ideal for: Formal vendor vetting, buyers needing named leadership.
Last verified July 2026.
Status Labs
Type: agency. Founded 2012, Austin. Entry: free consultation, quoted.
Four Inc. 5000 rankings and one of the larger operators in the category, which matters more for suppression than for removal because outranking established results is partly a volume exercise. Wall Street Journal reporting has covered past practices involving fake news content, which is directly relevant when the service being bought is content publication.
Best for: Executives, crisis work, established negative results.
Not ideal for: Small budgets, buyers needing named references.
Last verified March 11, 2026.
Terakeet

Type: agency. Founded 2001, Syracuse. Entry: quote, reported 100,000 dollar minimum project size.
The most enterprise-weighted entry here, serving Fortune 1000 brands with owned-asset content and search visibility work. The owned-asset framing is explicit, which is the model to prefer. Three rounds of layoffs between 2023 and 2024 are on record and relevant to continuity on a multi-year programme.
Best for: Fortune 1000 brands, executive programmes at scale.
Not ideal for: Anyone outside enterprise budgets.
Last verified July 2026.
TheBestReputation
Type: agency. Founded 2017, Williamsburg, Virginia. Entry: 1,000 dollar minimum, typical projects reported at 10,000 to 49,000 dollars.
A 5.0 rating across 27 verified Clutch reviews and No. 201 on the 2025 Inc. 5000. Combines PR, SEO and content removal, so suppression here is paired with earned placement rather than owned assets alone.
Best for: Individuals and businesses wanting PR-led suppression.
Not ideal for: Budgets below the stated minimum.
Last verified July 2026.
WebiMax
Type: agency. Founded 2008, Marlton, New Jersey. Entry: quote, reported ORM budgets of 1,000 to 3,500 a month.
Reputation work alongside SEO and paid media with a named project manager per client. Requires 30 days written cancellation notice, and multiple reviewers report being billed an additional month after attempting to cancel. Clutch scores are strong while Trustpilot sits at 3.0 with a majority of one star ratings.
Best for: Small and mid businesses wanting one agency across channels.
Not ideal for: Buyers needing a clean exit, fixed budgets.
Last verified March 10, 2026.
Notes
Timelines across this category run six to twelve months before a position holds, and every provider here describes results as variable rather than guaranteed, which is accurate.
Two questions belong in every first call. What do I still own if I cancel at month twelve. And what does maintenance cost once the position is achieved, which is a lower number than the build and is rarely quoted unprompted.
Individual company records with full pricing and verification status are in the provider database. Compiled July 2026.
